Are Davell’s products truly Australian made?
Yes…Davell’s products are designed and manufactured in Australia by an Australian owned company with a long history of local production. Davell has been manufacturing steel products in Australia since 1946 and is a licensed member of the Australian Made Campaign, meaning products meet strict local content and manufacturing standards.
Where are your products manufactured?
Davell’s quality products have been proudly manufactured in Australia at our Kirrawee (a suburb south of Sydney) factory since 1946.

Davell lockers are Australian made steel lockers engineered for strength, security and long service life backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

Are your products covered by warranty?
Davell backs its Australian manufactured products with a Lifetime Warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The warranty covers parts and labour with defined inclusions and exclusions depending on the component and conditions of use.
What is your manufacturing lead time?
Davell’s standard manufacturing lead time is typically 2-3 weeks from the date of order placement, however, this may vary depending on the current workload at the time your order is received.
How many colours can I choose from and do you provide colour samples?
Davell offers 60+ standard powder coat colours plus premium and custom colour options (additional charges may occur) with sample support if required. View Davell’s Standard Colour Range.
You can also have products finished in custom or non-standard colours for an additional surcharge.
If you require colour samples, simply contact us with your details and colour requirements.
Can you explain common locker terminology such as ‘tier’?
Davell uses standard locker terminology where a tier equals the number of doors in one locker unit (eg 4 tier = 4 doors in that locker). A line of lockers is described as a run or bank, making it easy to specify quantities and layouts for projects.
Can lockers be configured in various combinations?
Davell can supply lockers in mixed door combinations.
An efficient layout can also be recommended based on what items are being stored such as bags, uniforms, devices or other items.
What is the difference between Single and Three Point Locking?
Single Point Locking and Three Point Locking refers to the number of locking points on the door.
With Single Point Locking the door is secured to the frame with a locking cam in the centre of the door.
Three Point Locking offers higher resistance to forced entry as the door is secured to the frame via the locking cam in the centre of the door, as well as locking rods securing the door to the frame at the top and bottom.
Three point locking is considered more secure for locations when security is a priority.
Can your lockers be used outside?
Davell lockers are designed primarily for indoor use and are not watertight, however, Davell can manufacture lockers in zinc coated and primed steel to improve corrosion resistance for humid areas i.e., shower rooms or outdoor undercover locations.
Davell recommends avoiding direct weather exposure.
How do I choose what lock is best for me?
Davell helps you choose the right lock for your locker based on the security level, user turnover and management preference – starting from key locks or padlock provision through to keyless options such as mechanical or electronic combination and RFID locks.

Can I order spare parts/locks?

Can I join my lockers together?
Davell lockers are supplied with M5 x 12mm long combi roof bolts (or similar) and M5 nuts to suit.
- Each locker end has 4 holes, 1 in each corner (2 at the top, 2 at the bottom).
- Simply line the lockers together in the required run length, using the above hardware bolt the lockers together. It isn’t necessary to use all 4 hole locations – user preference to achieve the desired result.
- Please note – If the floor is uneven you may have to fit packers under the lockers at various locations. This is because when the lockers are bolted rigidly together they will “try” to form a solid block, leaving gaps underneath if the floor isn’t level.
Can you provide a charging solution in your lockers?
Davell manufactures device charging lockers for mobile phones, laptops, tablets/iPads and battery powered tools helping organisations store and charge devices securely in one place.

Davell’s Clear Door Lockers have clear acrylic doors so the locker contents can be visually inspected whilst still providing a secure locked compartment.

Do you manufacture custom products?
Davell designs and manufactures custom-made products to suit your requirements. Custom products may be subject to minimum order quantities and surcharges.

Do you manufacture stands, plinths and benches for your lockers?
Davell manufacture a range of plinths, stands, stands with seating and benches all fitted with adjustable feet to account for uneven surfaces.
Locker stands with integrated seating provide a practical space saving solution for changerooms.
Plinths are a slimline alternative to our range of locker stands and have adjustable feet to provide a level platform for the lockers.

Davell’s lockers and cabinets are delivered fully assembled.
Adjustable Steel Shelving requires onsite assembly.

Davell delivers throughout the Greater Sydney area and ships nationwide via specialist furniture transport companies who blanket wrap each product to ensure they arrive in pristine condition.

How should Davell lockers be cleaned and maintained?
Davell lockers are easy to maintain thanks to their durable powder-coated finish. Clean surfaces with a soft cloth, warm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners as these can damage the finish.
For best performance periodically check hinges and locks to ensure everything is operating smoothly.
