Lockers
What does Tier mean? Can you explain common locker terminology?
We refer to each locker as an individual item and then reference the number of doors as ‘tiers’.
Thus a single locker with four doors will be referred to as a ‘4 Tier Locker’. The number of lockers in a row is referred to as either a ‘run’ of lockers, or a ‘bank’ of lockers. For example; 3 x 4 Tier lockers containing a total of 12 doors, would be referred to as a ‘run of 3 x 4 Tier Lockers’.

Can lockers be configured in various combinations?

What is the difference between single & three point locking?
Single Point Locking and Three Point Locking refers to the number of locking points on the door.
With single point locking the door is secured to the frame with a locking cam in the centre of the door. With three-point locking the door is secured to the frame via the locking cam in the centre of the door, as well as locking rods securing the door to the frame at the top and bottom.
Three-point locking is considered more secure for locations when security is a priority.
Can your lockers be used outside?
All Davell products are manufactured for interior use, as they are not watertight. If you would like to have lockers located externally we are able to manufacture the lockers from zinc-coated and primed steel. This provides increased resistance to corrosion if lockers are to be located outside yet undercover or if located in a high-humidity environment i.e. shower rooms.
Please note: It is not recommended to have lockers located externally without being undercover i.e. awning.
How do I choose what lock is best for me?
As standard, Davell lockers are either key operated or provision for padlock (padlock receptor).
We are experts in keyless locking solutions and can provide assistance in ascertaining the right lock solution for you. We have a range of keyless locking options including mechanical and electronic combination or RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) locks.
Can I order spare parts/locks?

Can I join my lockers together?
Davell lockers are supplied with 3/16″BSW x 1/2″ long Combi Roof Bolts (or similar) and 3/16″BSW Nuts to suit.
- Each locker end has 4 holes, 1 in each corner (2 at the top, 2 at the bottom).
- Simply line the lockers together in the required run length, using the above hardware bolt the lockers together. It isn’t necessary to use all 4 hole locations – user preference to achieve the desired result.
- Please note – If the floor is uneven you may have to fit packers under the lockers at various locations. This is because when the lockers are bolted rigidly together they will “try” to form a solid block, leaving gaps underneath if the floor isn’t level.
Can you provide a charging solution in your lockers?
Today, there is a high demand for lockers that are able to charge mobile phones, laptops, tablets, iPads and battery powered tools. Davell manufacture a range of products to meet these requirements.

Clear Door Lockers are very popular in retail stores, hospitality, transport and manufacturing.
