For Davell’s customers the label ‘Australian made and owned’ means more than just a rubber stamp. It’s a symbol of the company’s unique history, contribution to the Australian economy and commitment to the production of quality products.
Our experience has shown that customers prefer Australian made products, so we were pleased to see that the findings of a recent Roy Morgan survey of 15,000 Australians has backed up this fact.
The survey, that was published in the March 2019 edition of Manufacturer’s Monthly magazine, highlighted that 90% of Australians aged 14+ who responded to the survey said they were more likely to buy products made in Australia, up from 88% four years ago.
Davell has satisfied the rigorous criteria to obtain ‘Australian Made and Owned’ certification which means we can proudly display the familiar logo.
Certification requires that a number of criteria are met including;
- Products made in Australia using Australian sourced raw materials
- An Australian owned company.
Since 1946, when the company was founded at Kirrawee in Sydney’s south, we have continued to make a commitment to supporting local jobs by diversifying and growing the company.
